Patch or re-plaster bottom of wall

So here's a picture :) ... Took the skirting off te upstairs bedroom and along the bottom on this wall it all fell off.. It's stopped peeling of and seems pretty solid now. This is the wall that's joining between the next door if that matters.

Just wondering if I should just patch it up or knock it all down dab the plaster board and get someone to skim it all?

Agreed, patch that, and fit a bigger skirting board too so it covers more of the repair. I would bulk it out with one coat, rule it off plumb with the wall and then a coat or two of easy fill and sand it till you are as pleased as punch!
 
I'd also trim an inch or so of plaster from the adjoining wall, because the plaster sometimes "kicks out" a bit. Just trim it off with a bolster or similar, then patch the wall the same as the other one.

pva the brick work then bond it out
use muilti to finish it offf or just get the bonding as good as you can
then finish it with easyfill sand it back
if need bee fill agen then sand
