Hi there,

Were having some brickwork done on the internal wall of a 1900 house. Where some of the bricks have been taken out the've been replaced by packing mortor instead of putting in bricks, sometimes accross two bricks length on the same row.

Is this safe/normal?? Or should we get bricks put in before we plaster?

Thanks

I wouldn't worry about it - the brickwork above will arch over it. As long as there aren't any nasty looking cracks in the area plaster over it and forget about it.
