Patching up render

Hi I am going to attempt to patch up a small gap in my render where a old vent has been removed before I paint the exterior of the house.

I have had a search about on here, but just have some final questions I want answering.

1. For the scratch coat should is a sand a cement mix 4:1 adequate?
2. The final surface 6:1?
3. Do I need to add a waterproofer/ plasticiser to the final coat? If so what is a good product to use?

Waterproofer in scratchcoat.

5:1 to finish with a splash of plasticiser.
