Hi

I am decorating a room and observed slight bends in the plasterboard around the windows. To investigate further, I removed a pieces of the affected areas with multiool and later discovered that the bends might be related to forcefully conforming against uneven studwork. The issue is that the plasterboard has a tinfoiled back and it's the wall exposed to the outside. My questions are:
1) if i can just patch it up with regular plasterboard or does it has to be VPL plasterboard?
2) Are there any concerns on discontinuing the tin foiled layer?
3) can I use a regular plasterboard of smaller depth and level it up with multifinish or easifill?

Thanks in advance

Aluminium foil tape is cheap.
Stick that on the back or some plasterboard.

Better to pack plasterboard to get it to the correct level.
6mm 9.5mm and 12.5mm plasterboard available.

You can stick on with polymer. Screws after it's dried if you want.
Use screws as a depth stop as you can turn to adjust height before finally sticking board
