My lawn has dark patches in a number of places.Is there anything I can do to treat it to help it recover?

Feed it, they do a spring/summer feed for march-august and an autumn/winter feed for september-nov.

4 cats but they donot go outside so I don't think they can be relevant.

what is the soil like?
