patio basics

Hi all,

Just a quick question, I'm laying a patio for the first time, I've got the ground dug out and now need to put the mypex down but, and this is gunna sound like a daft question but do I put the mypex down first or the sharp sand?

Why do you need a membrane at all?

Just want the extra protection, don't fancy pulling weeds out of the patio after a couple of years.

If you get weeds coming through a patio you've not done it right.

Are you planning on putting down a hardcore sub-base?

The only type of membrane you should consider under paving is a geotextile and it would go under the sub base
