I have just laid a patio - concrete base, varying depths of sand to create a gentle slope to ensure rain runs towards towards drain, etc., all seemed OK. However, having since filling the slab joints with Silka joining compound, the joining compound is 'bulging' and 'swelling' out of the joints, and breaking up, exposing the gaps between the slabs again. I can't think why it's happening. Thoughts?

Did you not lay the slabs on a sand/cement mortar?

It doesnt seem to have been compacted or allowed to cure from the pics, maybe it was applied outside the specified temerature limits.
