A 210mm section of the wooden step at my patio has rotted underneath. The step should be 22mm thickness. A section of around 210mm length and up to 15mm (in the height) has rotted (in a curved manner).

Left side is where damage is. The right side is fine.

You can see the 210mm 'bite' of rot better in this side view.

Underneath. The width (of step) is around 26mm.

Direct view from underneath, pointing up to the sky.

Final picture confirms the 210mm section needing repaired.

Suggestions for how to repair please?

The step is part of the door casing and making a satisfactory lasting repair would be difficult. I would be inclined to remove it all and get a complely new step cross section and screw it to the blocks underneath then seal ang decorate.
