I think Africa is the sort of place to avoid like the plague (pun intended).

I wouldn't go there, anyway, although I'm sure there are many who still feel the need to go and help to satisfy their consciences.

I think it depends on which African country, some are very peaceful, some not. I've known many South Africans who have returned, despite the higher rate of violence than here. I guess the worry is always health, even if you have a fairly minor ailment, you would struggle to get it treated without having private health insurance, or loads of money, or an easy way to get back to Blighty.

Anyway, I bet most of the country are hoping that woman pulls through, given that she, and colleagues, took huge risks to help others.

I hope she hasn't spread it around this country. Apparently she's not contagious but then she wasn't ill anymore either??

It's a disease that we still know very little about.

It's fascinating to study but it's so risky there are only a few places in the world that are equipped.
