Hi
I am currently completing a paving project. When digging down I did not hit clay(hard service) in certain areas for a 300mm. I was wondering what I could use to raise the low areas? I have already used some concrere blocks in places and broken up concrete and in tend to use a compactor to level, then MOT 1 subase ,then hardcore.
Im wondering if this is an appropriate course of action? Or does anyone have other recommendations? I am concerned about drainage and working on a flat service for the paving. We have factored in a slope of 1cm per 80 cm.
As you can see from the pics I have built a wall due to the slope in my garden to keep all the materials in, and you should be able to see the low spots. The hardcore must meet the top of the blocks and then mortar and paving will be laid above that.
Any help would be much appreciated.
