Hi
Just removing my paving to find that the previous house owners shoved a 600 x 600 x 50MM paving slab on top of the manhole. Not cemented down or anything.
This has been fine, and safe to walk on.
I am redoing my patio and have bought a 600x600x35MM paving slab to replace the one already there (due to wanting a different colour).
Will the thickness of this slab be okay, baring in mind that it will have people walking on it quite often. Is a 35mm slab strong enough to hold up to 100kg? It is resting on the sides of the manhole (approx 4cm each side)
Thanks
