Hello!
We have a very old soft-red-brick property which suffers from penetrative (rather than rising) damp. This problem isn't isolated to a leaking pipe, gutter etc. but more of a general 'well, it's very old masonry, what do you expect?' kind of way.
On the face of it there's a product called RainDance (http://www.safeguardeurope.com/products/raindance_raincheck.php) which would seem to be the answer... although things in life are seldom that easy.
Does anyone have any experience of RainDance, or could they suggest an alternative product / approach?
Cheers,
Steve
