I need to premanently remove a small radiator in my kitchen, which is on an open vented system. I undertsand that with the pump switched of then the pressure is standard atmospheric pressure, which means that I could technically hold back the pressure with my hand.
If so, (and I don't mind getting a little wet) can I cut the pipe and end cap it without draining the system?

doubtfull, the water will want to rush out as sonn as you cut through the pipe. you may be able to put a bung in your loft tank though

Aerosol freeze kits work if you cant be arsed draining down

Snatching it is possible but i wouldn't risk it unless maybe under floor better to bung it or drain it
