Serco got the Test and Trace contract from the govt. Health Dept were told again and again to use local authority based arrangements. They didn’t listen. Health Minister, Edward Argar, used to work for Serco

Government needs to be more accountable. There should be processes in place to challenge behaviour like this, in court if necessary. Misappropriation of public funds?
You can't just take public money and throw it around willy nilly.

The more they waste, the more people are going to have to pay in taxes in the future. But no doubt if it is a Tory Gov in power in the future, they will blame "unprecedented times of COVID". If it is the opposition in power, the very same Tories will blame that Government for mishandling the public purse.

Labour governments never ever did anything of this sort.
