Ahoy all,
I've just bought a Peugeot 206 1.8 Diesel from a breakers yard, it's a year 2000 model. I've replaced the front bumper, radiator and bonnet myself and the car appears to run and drive fine (no smoke etc).
However it's leaking a little oil as far as I can see. It's also making loud tapping sounds whilst driving although the car appears to be driving fine.
any ideas to what the noise could be ?, valves ?, tappets?, water pump? timing?.
I'm also wondering how much it is likely to cost if I take it to a garage to be repaired and how difficult it is likely to be if I do it myself, do I need any specialist tools etc
