Problem is I couldn't quite go all the way and use push fit opting for good old compression fittings. have been having probs with them blowing the joints (usually in the middle of the night strangely!?) even though they are well tight. We have high mains pressure where I live(4.5bar+) so I fitted a PRV to 3.5Bar.

Am I the person who has had this problem.

Ps. I have used pipe inserts.

Any help would be great, thanks

prv was a waste of time due to pipe being guarenteed to take over that pressure.

if you have blown the olive off as well and used the right inserts all it can be is the olives not tight enough and not gripping.
can't see how i only ever hand tighten and then half a turn with spanner, and never had one blow.

Thanks, maybe the olives are a bit cheap and not biting very well, I have tightened them well up with spanners but they still seem to blow.

Thanks John M, very observant!, should have read Am I the only person this has happened to.
