Hi all

I was wondering if I can lay new pine strips 100 x 8mm thick directly over existing floorboards.

My existing pine flooring even after days and days of sanding is poor, so I thought I'd asks the pro's, what are the issues of laying pine strips, gluing them directly ontop of the existing ones.

The room is only a small bathroom and is used lightly.

I would apprecite your help

Thanks

Are you using T&G cladding ? and is it grooved?

If so, doesn't sound like a brilliant idea to me, especially in a bathroom.

Ideally, you would lay 6mm ply and a suitable floor covering such as viinyl, cushion floor etc.
