Hi,

I have a rather heavy gate that is leaning to one side. It has the Z sandwiched in-between.

I know you can buy those anti sag kits, but I'm wondering if I can use a frame fixing screw (or equivalent) to drill through the post into the wall, and then tighten, which should move the post back towards the wall, straightening out the lean.

Is this idea worth while pursuing? I've highlighted in red where the screws would go.

Tia

are the fence posts leaning?

are the gates sagging trapezoid?

cures are different.

What is the height of the gateposts, and how tall are you/your vehicle?

show us the other side of the gates.
