can anybody tell me if i can use compression fittings rather than bending pipework in the loft. because of the route from the supply water supply to the shower this would make my life easier. there would be six comp fittings along the route

Comp joints will be ok, though you could run the pipe in plastic Hep2o, it comes in 3m lengths.
thanks for that. think wife would kill me if i spend more money. lol. i am rectifying a cowboy plumbers bodge job. the original pipe fom stop valve ran along top of beams and wasnt even secured, just hung there.
Can you not just clip the original pipe?
i cant clip original pipe as its like spaghetti junction and sits on top of loft boards. shower working great now all done. thanks for help all.
