hi

I wonder if anyone could put me in the right direction

Im having a lovely kitchen fitted and iv boxed pipes over tbe wall units in 18mm ply.
Is ther anything out ther which i can cover the ply in oak affect to match similar to the kitchen. Like a roll off stick on stuff.

Come to think of it what do kitchen door manufacturers cover the mdf doors with. Thats thin and flexible.

Anyone know what im talking about

Thanx

You should have used oak faced ply. There used to be a stuff called Fablon which was used to cover kitchen worktops etc and available in all sorts of effects. You could try googling for it.

Yes, that's printed PVC foil. It requires a vacuum wrapping press to apply it, so about £30k plus about £500 or so a roll for the materials........

The only thing I can suggest is to add another layer to your boxing-in with oak-veneered MDF - if you hunt around you may vbe able to find some 7mm stock with an oak face veneer on one side and a backer veneer on the other such as this one from S L Hardwoods on eBay. In Lancashire I'd contact Peter Benson at Darwen who might be able to help - they can also cut to size, but I don't think they'll put a bevel edge on. The other possibility is a real wood veneer laminate, but whilst it's thin that stuff costs mega bucks in comparison to veneered MDF
