Any use of partially insulating the CH and HW pipes? I would say about 30%, only the pipes that are easily accessible. Or it’s just wasting of time?

HW pipes, yes, so that they cool down less between the times you run the hot tap, so you need to waste less HW while waiting for it

CH pipes yes if they are in unheated spaces (under ground floor etc) or unoccupied areas

All pipes in lofts as they may freeze

Some people say you do not need to insulate CH pipes if they are in heated areas, since they contribute to the general heating of the house. However they can waste a lot of heat when it is not required.

Airing cupboards often have a lot of hot pipes, and these throw off a lot of wasted heat. Pipes round the boiler may make the kitchen needlessly warm.
