We have this small loo with copper heating pipes running around all four walls. They enter at A on the west wall and run around to B on the south wall, with a tee off at C. I need to move the tee to a new position at D and would also like to put isolating valves at E. Because the pipes run so tight to the walls I'm not sure of the best way to approach this.

My plan is to cut the pipes at C, E and F and replace them with plastic pipe which should be flexible enough to connect to the existing copper. Does that seem a sensible way to go?

What's the best way to tackle cutting through pipes that are as immovable as this?

Thanks

another option would be to run the pipes in a channel cut into the floor. It would mean removing the toilet pan and retiling though.

once you have cut into the pipe work it should be possible to put it out of the clips and make subsequent cutting and connecting easier.

Remember to use plastic barrier pipe for heating and remove the paint from the copper before inserting it into a fitting.
