Hi,

Have read up quite a bit on here, but just decided to do something.

I get the odd false alarm in one room from a cat. Don't really want to keep the room closed off so am looking to 'improve' pet immunity.
I currently have Honeywell IS-215TQ Quad PIRs.

Could I expect to be better off with Bosch Blue Line PIR's ?
I can choose Blue Line with pet immunity but there are basic models, quad and Tri-tech.

I realise pet immunity may not be total but just looking to improve it.

Thanks

One cat .... Standard bosch pet pir or optex rx40pt , more than one go for bosch tritech version

Agreed... But don't let the cat(s) jump up on the furniture. These devices work by assuming that pets are small, warm objects moving around on the ground..

Understood. It is actually 2 cats. Why would tritech be better with 2 cats ?

By which he means...

The Tritech is a dual technology detector with both passive infrared and microwave detection. This means that it is better at discriminating between pets and people as it can 'see' the size of the creature as well as the position.
