I am fitting a cooker hood and moving an existing cooker plate. I want to place these elsewhere, but I am not sure where the best/safest place is as a sink is close by? Also the cable should it be buried in the wall in a plastic tube?

it used to be that it had to be at least 6 feet away from any water, and yes trunking or "tube" is a ood idea, also you can use "capping" (as the name says it caps the cable and you can plaster over it
