just bought a house that has a stone framed arch window on one side of the house, it has been blocked up at some time in the past, maybe during window tax?
does anyone know if planning permission would be required to remove the stone infill and refit a window, there are neighbouring properties about 60 metres away, and they don't face the window.
anyone done this?

If the property has permitted development rights intact then you should be able to do this under those rights.

You will want to check with the local planning authority whether there are any reasons why your property may not have permitted development rights. In addition, your deeds may also have further restrictions which may inhibit these - such as particular covenants.

Why not just do it? (unless it's a listed bulding).
If the neighbours are that far away, how could it impact on amenity?

As Tony says "Just do it" but make sure the window you fit is Fensa approved.
