Plasplug Compact Mitre Cut Help

Hi,

Ive just had a new kitche put in and Im doing some tiling. I was advised to get a Plasplug Compact Plus, which Ive found great for straight or square cuts

Problem I have is that when I set up to mitre cut my tiles I always end up with a square edge were the cutter hasnt touched the tile. Leaving me with one end of the tile with a 45 degree plain and a vertical plan

Anyone know what Im doing wrong?
