I have to reskim the bathroom and replaster a few patches where the old gypsum has blown. Weber SBD recommend 4 weeks drying time...

How long would people recommend in the real world ?

The gypsum is going on to breezeblock, in two patches, both 20mm deep - one patch is 1' x 3'., the other 1' square.
The skim would be about 2 mm deep.

I will be cladding with large format stone, so it will have to be sealed and I'll be using a polymer-modyfied adhesive.

Obviously I don;t want to rush it and risk plaster failure, and a grand's worth of tiles - but another four weeks of building site and I could well be single...

Any advice gratefully received

when its pinked!
leave it till the plaster turns from a dark colour to completely pink 24hrs after skimming put on some gentle heat or if its a warm day open a window and get it ventillated. If you are using bonding as a backing cot it may take a while to pink., if so four days will see you right.

..was I hoping you'd say that !
I'm fairly confident Weber are being cautious - after all they don't want comebacks on their products - so they'll recommend the absolute best drying time...
I've decided to make my life easier and hack out the gypsum from one wall (a corner wall covering one of the building's services shaft) and replace with Wedi... less hassle. That will leave me with 1 square foor of new gypsum, plus the reskim
