Plaster over copper pipes.

I have chased out a wall with the aim of concealing hot and cold water pipes.

I am not too worried about plaster cracking when the pipes expand as the top half will be covered by a kitchen unit and the lower half tiled.

What I want to know is what to do with regards to covering the copper pipes against the cement or plaster. As I heard I should do this. Someone said to use insulation tape but that sounded a bit naff. Whats the proper way to do it?

i stick all mine in denso tape or conduit.

Yep, it's up to you.

Plastic pipe's probably easier for ya, but denso tape on copper is just the same.

When you say plastic pipe, do you mean to put it over the copper pipe or use it instead of copper pipe? If its the latter. How do you join plastic to the existing copper?

Use plastic instead of copper.

Pushfit straights on to the copper

Yup. Just make sure you push them all the way on

if you fit them correct and use the inserts.
or use brass compression fittings.
