Plaster peeling off onto roller

Just painted the dining room ceiling and the new plaster as peeled off onto the roller and then the roller as rollered it back onto the ceiling elsewhere, it's made a proper mess, tried to sand it all down and repainted but more as peeled off what's happening, am I going to have to have it replastered again?

You should have done a few quick thin 'mist' coats. Basically it's a ****-poor plasterer.
