Plaster stop bead and brick slips on fireplace

With the two vertical front edges of the brick slips not plastered over but left visible (see attached image), is a plaster stop bead used where the plaster and brick slips meet? If so, what sort of metal stop bead would be required?

Or perhaps edge of the brick slips left proud of the wall acts as a plaster stop?

3mm thin coat metal stop bead could be used or go freehand.
You could cover the slip edges or set back a bit so the brick slips show the edges.
You could scrape back surface and set in wall so no bump and sharp edge line

I want to leave the front vertical edges visible as in image. Given that the main chimney wall already has hardwall on it, woukd you

a) put on a coat of bonding plaster, then put in bricks slips left proud of main wall, then apply finishing skim using the brick slip as a stop bead
b) if using a 3mm metal stop bead as you suggested, is this bead going on top of the bonding coat
