Hi just wanting some advice. I want tk plaster the face of my chimney breast but not into the enclosure so want the plaster to finish on the edge around the opening. I was hoping this could be done without using any kind of beading or stop bead edging but didn't know if it was possible so just asking experts on here. The brick is uneven so I dont need a perfect square finish. Could sort of bevel in on the corner if its possible
Any advice would be very much appreciated

Put some wood on the inside and plaster to it.
As the plaster starts to set remove wood.

You using limelite plaster?

OP,
The pic of the neighbour's attempt looks wrong, & not done very well at all?
Why not do as suggested above?

Hi. Ok yes sorry I wasn't ignoring what was originally advised and obviously value any advice. Just not sure how the edge would look if it was finished using wood as an edge to work too. I think my concern was that the brick edge has some variation. In it ie its not perfectly straight and I was concerned about how a perfectly straight plaster edge would match up to the brick

OP,
Just do as above suggested - when the bevel is setting then cut out any significant variations.

Ok so would this look different to the picture of my neighbors. Would the plaster just stop sort of giving a square edge or would it be sort of beveled on the edge
