Hi all, i'm putting some insulated plasterboard on my external walls and simultaneously will be changing the kanckered floorboards with a new subfloor (18mm + 6mm ready for LVT). I was thinking of adding insulation between the joists on the the external wall too.

question is Do i put the plasterboard down to the new flooring (final flooring still not decided) or put the plasterboard on first so i can face the wall between the joist gaps with more insulation and then flooring up to the plasterboard?

I was thinking flooring down after plasterboard and butting the flooring up to the new walls leaving a small expansion gap which i can then fill with a thermal strip before adding skirting. this would ensure the new insulated plasterboard covers more with little break in the coverage.

Normally it's floor boards down first, then plasterboard, then seal the gap between the plasterboard and floor. Bu it's not gonna make much difference either way so fit your PB first if yo want.
