HI can anyone help?

I have a decent level of insulation in my loft under the solid timber floor, and dont have any real issues with esaping heat.

My roof space is a traditional cut roof to an apex with 70mm rafters. We have not insulated this space. I would like to plasterboard directly over the rafters if possible.

1. Can I use standard 12.5mm board then tape and joint over?
2. Should I use foil backed
3. do I need to leave an air gap at the front and back of the house (low down and also at the top of the apex?)

Regards

Would be better in floors and lofts forum. Most answers/queries are in the FAQ

What do you wish to achieve? Is it just cosmetic for storage or to create an habitable space?

would like to create extra storage, but make it look nice so the wife can go up and down. not habitable
