Hi,

I recently moved into a reasonably new-build flat and im having a slight (annoying) issue in the en-suite toilet.

The ceiling in the en-suite is plasterboard and where it meets the wall its causing a squeaking noise which is depriving me of sleep.

I first noticed the noise during the recent windy spell - the wall that the plasterboard meets is an external wall that has an electric extractor fan to the outside and when its windy i can hear wind coming in the fan/vent which i think is creating a draft and causing slight movement between the wall / ceiling.

Im not 100% this is the cause of the noise but i tried to confirm it by pressing gently on the plasterboard ceiling on the edge where it meets the wall and i get the squeaking noise.

Do you think this is my issue and if it is how would i go about stopping it :? ?

Thanks in advance guys.
