i want to put up plasterboard over the existing plasterboard in the bathroom(not keen on plastering over the artex).
do you know how to seal the plasterboard to make it stable to be painted after(not keen on plastering.artex).
 
PVA/water mix. Dilution rate depends on the PVA. read the label.

Just a thought. If the Artex is on plasterboard, you could take this down before you put the new plasterboard up. That way you'd restore the size of the room to it's former glory.
