Hi
We've just got bought a Victorian house and a few of the rooms have nasty polystyrene tiles over which I'm guessing is lath and plaster plus whatever else has been put on the ceiling over the past century.
From looking all over the net, youtube etc I know I can overboard this with 12.5mm board and 50/60mm drywall screws and not having to worry about hitting wires as long as I find the both sides of the joist and fix the board between those points.
My question is what is the minimum size board I can get away with? 2400 x 1200 is a no go unless I hire a lift, I was hoping there would be something a bit more manageable that I could use and do on my own. Any suggestions?
Room sizes are on average about 4m x 3m if that makes any difference.
Thanks!
