Hi gents the ceiling is 7x4 m and has artex on it, it is a flat pattern with small high spots on it would it be better to steam it all off and get it skimmed or just skim over the artex. The ceiling is sound and p/b. Any idea what the cost might be roughly.

if the artex is sound just skim over it, your probably looking at a couple of hundred to skim it

I often steam it off and soak with washing up liquid. Works a treat.
or use X-Tex, not cheap but does the trick and saves time!
