Has anybody here had experience of plastering over already existing plaster skim, Ie Multifinish or Board finish?
I am not sure if it is possible having never needed to do it before but was recently asked if it was possible by a neighbour.
If it is can anyone throw some light on how to go?

thanks

Yes you can do it. Apply PVA mixed at 3:1 with a roller. Let it dry, then another coat at 2:1 and skim with Multifinish while PVA still tacky.

Thanks for that Porker.
I thought it may be possible but wasn't sure.

many thanks

I had my living room ceiling, which was artexed, skimmed. there is a big crack across the ceiling. Now I know why they artexed it!
