Plastering Vs Rendering

Hi All

I have just built a single skinned garage with piers. I would like to cover the inside walls and am not sure which wall covering Plaster or Render would best suit this project. I would rather plaster the wall as it is easier than rendering but i am not sure if plaster will be strong enough, damp may also be an issue.

Can anyone help?

Ian,Welcome,
No question about it,cement render.Plaster in the circumstances you describe would be a disaster.I.would put a coat of render on the outside too,with a waterproofer admix in.You could put that in the mix for the inside render as well.
