Been a while since I've done some plastering - Would one normal size sack of thistle finish be enough to plaster a ceiling probably around 4m by 4m (probably a bit smaller but not too much) . Would it be enough to give it a couple of skim coats i.e whats the normal coverage for a sack ?

Thanks

The ceiling was plasterboarded and skimmed just some fool stuck those polystyrene tiles on it. I've taken them off and the remaining glue blobs aren't sticking up too proud so doesn't need any bonding to level it out

It depends if you waste any. I would get two. If as you say you haven't plastered for a while, you might be a bit rusty. It also depends on the thickness of the glue blobs that you have to cover. A spare bag won't go wrong, and if you don't need to use it, you can always take it back. Better safe than sorry.

Roughcaster.

Thanks, I usually lose half of it in my hair so guess I best get two :)

Thought I'd check first just to make sure as I dont want to run out half way through but on the other hand didn't want to overdo it and be left with loads lying around.
