I am a painter not a plumber but have been asked to remove and replace some dirty old plastic clamps holding copper pipes. Problem is they are screwed into the wall directly behind the pipe in the corner of a room. I have some brass school board pipe clips which I can replace them with as they screw into the wall either side of the pipe but how to I get rid of the plastic ones ?

A reciprocating saw with a metal cutting blade or, a hacksaw blade in a holder - close to the wall, cut through the screw.

I thought that might be the only solution but on one side it is within a few centimetres of the corner and the other some metal shelving I will have to take the shelves down to get blade in there. Thanks
