Hi,

My father, who was a builder, passed away some time ago and I'm going through his shed/brew cabin that he had in his garden.

He had a large bag of the items in the photo. They feel like steel.
In order for me to either sell them or dispose of them, I need to know what to call them.

So, as a starter for ten, what are they (i suspect some form of wall tie) and can you say what particular type or model they are?

Many many thanks.

Thanks for the speedy reply.
Is it a particular type for a particular purpose eg he built his house with stone rather than brick so would he have needed a particular type for that?
Are the ones in the photo old fashioned and not in use anymore?
If I was to sell them should I simply call them stainless steel cavity wall ties? I'm presuming they're made of stainless steel?

It will be stainless steel, all wall ties are now as the earlier steel versions could rust and fail. Sorry, but I can't really comment regarding the intricacies of the design, I just recognised it as a wall tie. Maybe someone else will be along that can.

Heavy duty tie. You can't bend this type if the walls are slightly different levels.
