Hes most Prob thought empty house .. b*****r going in the loft .. i will just shut the main off and drain down

Actually felt sorry for the guy till Ive come back to this and the customers having cold showers ............. On a postive note ... good scrap money for primatics!!

why is the water in the cylinder not heating up by the boiler at the moment? is that an air locks and/or a pump problem also?

Yes basically there isn't any circulating of water going on. So the heat isn't getting transferred anywhere. Boiler is just running heating itself up and shutting down.

If he is daft enough to not recognize a Primatic then he may possibly have put a cylinder in that is meant for fully pumped systems and will not work on gravity which the majority of primatics where.

Find it strange that after changing the cylinder he did not notice he was not gettin air and water out the rads ??
