I have a Ferolli Modena 80E boiler and when its windy outside the light gets blown out and then re-lights itself. Its a nightmare to try and have a shower or bath during this time. yet when its not windy its absolutely fine. Can anyone shed any light on this ????

Perhaps a good service would help. Could be partially blocked injector or something in the flue not right.

Get an RGI in to check it over.

I too live in a windy area, the boiler being on the side of the house facing open ground and catching the prevailing SW from the sea.

My pilot has been turned up high to reduce frequency of blow-outs, now it just eats thermocouples at the rate of about one per 10 months.

When I have to get a new boiler it will go on a different wall.

As gas4you says there might be a problem that can be fixed.
