Please recommend a sealant

Hi there,

My sink leaks from the side, with water ingressing into the wood panels below.
Could you please advise me on how to seal this sink? Please see pics enclosed within

The sink should have been fitted with a seal, in lieu of that and good bead of clear silicone does the job perfectly.
 
To do the job properly, the sink edge will need to be raised up off the worktop, the gap cleaned and dried and the re-sealed. Anything else will not last I'm afraid. Originally there would have been a foam seal in there but they do flatten/perish over time and become inneffective.

You may get away with using a hairdryer, and heat that section up for a while to get it to dry out, then say a dow corning 786/786n clear silicone squeezed in but it may not work long term if water gets in from areas that you cant fill.
