Plinth heater in kitchen

So basically I have a double socket where hob is going to go and that's the sock I was going to plug heater onto.......
As I said, you can plug it in, but you'd need to find a way to get the cable from the heater to the socket, and keep it out of the way (particularly out of the way of the hob!).
It doesn't even say if it comes with a plug or not
It quite possibly doesn't, since such things are not usually 'plugged in', but you could always fit a plug.
Can you pls explain fcu in lay mans term sir??
FCU = Fused Connection Unit. If you are not using a plug (which contains a fuse), but, rather, permanently wiring it in, you have to provide the fuse in some other way, and an FCU is the way to do it. They look like:
