Hi all,

Well I had some plumbing work done recently (CH system and new boiler), and too a good standard. All finished, plumber and he's team were all very friendly, we completed the paper work that needed to be sent off to have the boiler signed off. And I paid him.

The last time I saw him he left saying "all I need to do is send the paperwork, I'll leave it here and pop round tomorrow as I have a few things to finish off"... That was the last I heard from him.

Tried contact him on many occasions, and at the start I did get a response saying he was sorry and would be round the weekend... Never showed.

I'm worried now, as I have a boiler that's in a new place, hasn't been notified and nor has it been signed off. They were gas safe registered, and I have all their details. The works to a very good standard, and I got a lot for my money, but the whole point of this was to get the thing signed off and ready for selling in a few years.

Not sure on my next steps. Is there a body I can report this too? should I notify trading standards? or is there another outfit specifically for this?

Thanks!

Have you got an address for him? Put something in writing to him and if ignored phone the Gassafe register. Give him a chence first as there may be some personal reason for him not responding to your request.

That's a very good point. I'll see if I can find it. They were genuinely decent guys, and would recommend them to anybody - at least up until this point. But hopefully can get this resolved fairly quickly.

Thanks for your reply, appreciate it.

If he is as you say Gas Safe registered, all you have to do is to contact them. Give your man one more chance, and tell him you're contacting Gas Safe next step.

Did you check his photo on the gas safe web site? Its always possible he is an imposter ???

I did not hear you ask for that!

Personal reasons may include being thrown in the clink by In Rev.

Yep he could be one of the 5 ( or more ) who were arrested ? via the in rev ? how did u pay him ( answer not required ) ? if it was in a cetain way ? they could be on to u ? keep your eye on the bin men , they may not be bin men !!!
