Hi
I have just started a new kitchen project the first job is to fit a new radiator in the Kitchen.

Heres my dilema the pipes come out of the wall up through the floor by way of dry lined dot and dab wall.

Pipes are 15mm new radiator is 40cm narrower then old one and weighs 45kg.

The floor is overlayed with Amtico flooring so no access to floorboards I can get at pipes in wall by removing skirting and cutting away plaster board but will have to channel pipes through wall.

I was hoping to use speedfit fittings but have read here that is not advisable each pipe will have to be moved anyone had any experience of this or offer me any advice beggining to wish I hadnt bought the damn thing.

I take you mean an external chrome pipe fitted alond the wall?
Sorry if I have caused ant confusion but the new radiator is 400mm narrowr then the old one I had hoped to bring the pipes from the wall though I think it will be easier to extend current pipe with crome right angle.

cut out the wall and use speedfit/hep or any other pushfit, gotta look better than chrome pipe running along the wall.

if u can get to the pipes in the wall cant you cut them if so can u run (solder) them along behind the back of the skirting to the desidered location?

Many thank for all the replies I could get a bigger radiator but would still have to move the pipes.

Think I will remove the plaster board to get at them and cut with angle grinder then use soldered joints to position it were I want.

Many thanks for all your input.
