I just noticed, there does not seem to be a PM facility on this forum so individuals cannot get in touch with each other without posting email addresses or other contact information for everyone (i.e. spammers) to see. Very odd.

There are anti-spam measures in place, I believe. As far as I am aware, you can't just go through every profile in turn and get the e-mail addresses off. After you have looked at a few it blocks the e-mail address field (I think, it seemed to do that once when I was trying something out).
