Contacting HMRC

Latest tax code notice should give contact details or alternatively ask your employer which office deals with them. Unless your self employed of course.
The tax code was just on the website, with no contact details. I was PAYE but retired over 10 years ago.

They don’t sing like canaries - this is a legal requirement
I used to keep my interests because it was from my money that I had saved after paying a massive amount of tax.
Banks used to shut up and make their profit on our money but now they sing like canaries and the government steals from us.
Guess what?
No more money in saving accounts apart from isa.
How good is that for the economy?

Apart from one phone call to them when i apologised first and asked for another number as i couldnt understand a word the guy was saying i have found dealing with HMRC very easily on the phone each time it was their mistake and the last time the woman said i am raising a managers complaint for you as we cant keep messing you about like this .
Never heard from them again so she obviously got it all sorted .At the time hmrc used 3 computer systems one in scotland one in england and one in northern ireland and basically data put into one didnt always transfer to the other systems

The tax office have a forum where you can ask questions and get replies direct from them. Phoning is almost useless as you get through to an idiot who mostly will pass you on to someone a little bit less of an idiot.

Where's this forum?

Thanks for tghat, but it says
"Please be aware that this forum is for general queries only and is intended to help you self-serve. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide specific advice tailored to individual circumstances or offer any interpretation of the guidance provided on Gov.UK."

I want to know how they arrived at a figure for unpaid tax in calculating next year's code, so unfortunately it doesn't help much.
